Shepton Mallett Show Report

On the 18th & 19th of April the Surface Warship Association were invited to display at the South West Engineering and Model Show held at the Bath and West Show ground in Shepton Mallet.

The five members who attended managed to put together a display that included Torpedo Boats, Second World War Destroyers,  Frigates and Destroyers from the 1950's and 60's an assault ship and modern Frigate.

Some members managed to sail in the pool provided but as usual with these pools it was a little bit on the tight side.

There was plenty of other types of modelling to look at including Trains,Cars,Trucks Planes, Tanks to name a few. Traders were also there in force.

For those of us who stayed over night the organizers opened the restaurant and bar for the evening. I would like to thank Chris Hooper, Charles Davies Colin Watson and Roy Skeates for their hard work and support through out the weekend.
